This beautiful girl is celebrating a birthday today and while I know it will be an incredibly difficult day, I also know that God has surrounded her with an army of friends who love her deeply and love her well and I am so thankful for that. She has walked through what I am certain will be the most difficult pain in her life this last year, but has not for one moment doubted God’s love for us or the knowledge that Parker is in heaven and that we WILL see him again. She teaches me about kindness, compassion, patience, humility, forgiveness and love each and every day. She sees joy in everything, she does not have the ability to take a bad picture – ever; and she never met an exclamation point she didn’t love! I love you Sweet Pea – to the moon and back. I thank God for you every day. I also thank him for blessing you and Peanut with one of the sweetest sibling relationships I have ever witnessed…one that was the result of you 2 loving each other fiercely in spite of how different you were, and always learning from each other. It ended too soon, but I know that you two loved each other more in 18 short years than most do in 40 or 50. May you be showered with love and fun today; may this year be your best one yet – you’ve got one hell of a guardian angel watching over you now. HAPPY BIRTHDAY!🎉🎁 🥰
My ♥️ is full. Dinner with 30 of Parker’s favorite people in one of his fav restaurants in #statesboro, a precious dedication of his jersey and the FIRST annual Parker Fredrick memorial game, and lots of hugs from the gang. We are continually amazed at how many friend groups Parker had...he truly never met a stranger. Thank you to everyone who came out and continues to love us so well through this season of hurting. #fearlesspfred #gata #laxlife #keystoneclan . . . Friendship is the hardest thing in the world to explain. It’s not something you learn in school. But if you haven’t learned the meaning of friendship, you really haven’t learned anything.” – Muhammad Ali
#16 will be retired today in honor of P. I know he’ll be looking down with that big, bright smile. Hoping our boys pull out a W tonight. See you on the RAC field!🥍♥️ #fearlesspfred #laxlife #GATA #laxmom #savetheshotgunsuntilafterthegameben #youtoojack #georgiasouthern
We will be headed to Statesboro next weekend for the lax game they’re having in honor of @parker_fredrick and I hope to see all my kiddos there too! ♥️🥍☺️ #fearlesspfred #gsulax #gata #gonebutnotforgotten
8 months...Two thirds of a year without P. How can that be? One of the hardest realities for me to accept has been knowing I have all the pictures I’ll ever have of him…and wishing I had thousands upon thousands more. And then just this week, a sweet friend who recently experienced the loss of her father & was looking for pictures of him, sent me this picture. One her husband took at one of P’s last lacrosse games during high school. One I had never seen. And it brings both a smile and tears all at once because it is a new-to-me picture and one I can add to my album. One I will study like all of the others so that when I close my eyes I can remember my sweet, funny, handsome, happy, full-of-life boy who never backed down from anyone on the field, or really in life. I ♥️ u Peanut...and as James Casto from @homebydark reminds us “I’m grateful that heaven is closer than it was yesterday.” #fearlesspfred #photooftheday #neverforgotten #mommasboy #asongcanchangeyourlife
These girls have known each other a long time. So glad @elizabeth_lung stopped by for a visit on her way back to school. Lots of fun reminiscing & catching up at dinner last night.
