I am NOT a bargain shopper (much to my husband’s chagrin) but I’m also not a big shopper. I can go weeks with the only store I visit being a grocery store (or two, or three, or four…all in one day…but that’s a different post). Anyway, when I do go out shopping, if I find something I like, I buy it – I rarely look at the price so this “renovation budget” is working me ya’ll.
We kept all of the furniture which we bought when we relocated to Georgia and which I love (I’ve finally decided I am much more of a painted furniture person than natural wood finishes unless it’s super dark – almost black – mahogany) but I was tired of the West Elm bedding I had for the last few years. The main accent color in this house is going to be navy and I had this adorable monogrammed pillow my sweet friend had bought me for Christmas last year that I just LOVE (my husband jokes that I would monogram him and the kids if I could), so I started my hunt online at Pinterest on the pins I had saved in my “dream bedrooms” board and ordered 2 bedspreads that were kind of funky patterned with navy and turquoise and yellow. They were pretty when they arrived, but they weren’t peaceful and calming and adult quite frankly, so back they went.
Then I stumbled on this little chrome add-on called Honey that searches for every known coupon in the internet universe (or something like that) and applies any and all that it can to your final order. I decided I wanted a solid, but not boring, duvet cover and pillows to add to the fun.
And boy did Honey, and the internet, come to the rescue. I got my ENTIRE bedding set, and my curtains for under $100. Thanks to the savings I found with that little add-on. Seriously, if you shop online, you have got to get this thing (CLICK HERE). It only works with Chrome, but that’s all I use. Here is the finished product:

I. Love. It. The tufted bedspread & shams have the tiniest gray pinstripes and came from Steinmart (saved an additional $39 on it thanks to Honey) and the pillows were all on megaclearance at Homegoods and Kohls (the blue & white patterned pillow was $5; the navy glitter pillow was $11. I even got my curtain rod and 2 navy 84″ panels in that $100. I think I need to buy 2 more panels which will put me $17 over, but hey, I’ll take it.

This bargain shopping thing is kind of fun. Now…if I could just bargain hunt my dream kitchen cabinets from $20,000 down to the $12,000 range. Hoping someone decides to have a Black Friday sale on gray shaker kitchen cabinets. Let me know if you see any while any of you all are out shopping.
