When “Right” Is Wrong

We picked up some of our doors yesterday. I love the way they look. We managed to get all 4 bedroom doors installed and they fit like a glove. (And if I hadn’t left my camera at the house I’d have a picture here to show you how great they look so you’ll just have to take my word for now.) But of the 7 in total Drew picked up on his way home from work, 2 were wrong. They were “right” swing doors that were supposed to be left. And since they are special order, we get to suck it up and pay the restocking fee and reorder them and wait.

I even pulled up the door schedule he sent me a few weeks ago (yep, that’s a thing…who knew?) hoping that the store had messed up, but they were wrong on the schedule too. It happens and it will cost us but we also had to take a step back and remember that we are saving so much money doing all of the work we are taking care of ourselves that it’s ok. It’s frustrating, but it’s ok. The remaining doors will get delivered tomorrow and if we are lucky, these will be the only two. But if there are more, so be it.

Oh, and I woke up at 4:17 this morning wondering why on earth Dick Clark had married Grace Jones…think about that people (and if you have to google it because you are too young to know who I’m talking about, don’t bother…it won’t be anywhere near as funny after all that effort). No, they never were married. Yes, that’s what averaging about 3 hours of sleep a night week after week will do to your brain. So, I’ll be starting back taking melatonin tonight and hopefully not waking up having dreamed about 2 seriously random people.
